THE FALL SHOW
A SMALL WORKS JURIED EXHIBITION
Kalaveshi Arts is pleased to announce an open call for submissions to our Fall Show 2025, a Small Works Juried Exhibition. We welcome artists at all stages of their careers - both emerging and established - to present their creativity and skill in the medium of their choice. With no designated theme, this exhibition offers an opportunity to explore artistic expression in a distinguished celebration of the arts this fall.
DATES
Exhibit: October 17 - November 9
• Deadline for Submission: October 7, 2025 at 11:59pm
• Jurying: October 8 & 9, 2025
• Notification Date of Accepted Submissions: October 9, 2025
• Artwork Drop-Off: Saturday ,October 11, 11am - 3pm at Kalaveshi Arts
• Opening Reception: Friday, October 17, 6 - 8pm
• Artwork Pick-up: Tuesday, November 11, 11am - 3pm
JUROR: Patricia Carrigan
Patricia Carrigan is a painter and mixed media artist from East Granby, Connecticut. Patricia has exhibited her paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces since 1990 in several solo, group, national, and international exhibitions. Her work is represented in many private and public collections. MS. Carrigan received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1994 in Painting and Drawing and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York in 1982 in Painting and Art Education. Themes explored throughout her work include memory and personal storytelling, Irish family histories, and everyday symbols. Patricia has been awarded numerous grants including a Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont and two Studio Grants from The Greater Hartford Arts Council. She is a 2002 and a 2004 Recipient of An Individual Artist Fellowship Grant from The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and a Ballinglen Artist Residency Fellowship in Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland in 2005 and in 2007. After twenty-five years as a professor of visual fine arts at Manchester Community College in Manchester, Connecticut. Patricia retired in 2022 enabling her to return to a full time studio practice.

Awards:
• Best of Show: $150
• Second Place: $100
• Third Place: $50
Eligibility:
• Open to all artists ages 18+ and residing in CT
• 2D original works only
• Size of artwork must be 24 inches maximum (including the frame)
• Artwork on paper must be framed; artwork on canvas can be unframed
• Artwork must be ready to hang (wired, no sawtooth hangers)
• Up to three completed artworks can be submitted
• All art must be for sale
• Accepted Mediums: painting, mixed media, drawing, collage, printmaking, fiber art, & fine art photography
• No Digital or AI generated art. No giclee prints.
Entry Details:
• Entries and fees are to be digitally submitted via kalaveshiarts.com/call-for-artists (scroll below the prospectus to find the form)
• Ensure that you upload a high-quality image of your artwork
• Name each image using the following format: lastname_firstname_titleofartwork
• Uploaded files must be in JPG or PNG format
• Fees: First entry $30, second/third entry an additional $5 each
• Artwork must be received before or on the Drop-Off day - no late entries accepted
• Artwork must be collected no earlier than the set Pick-Up date - no exceptions
Sales:
• Kalaveshi Arts retains a 30% commission on all sales
Legal:
By submitting artwork, artists acknowledge and agree to all stated conditions. Kalaveshi Arts will exercise reasonable care in the handling, storage, and exhibition of all works; however, Kalaveshi Arts assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred during transit, storage, or display. Submission fees are non-refundable.
