CONFIDENT EMBRACE

Art plays a vital role in self-discovery and healing.

Confident Embrace is a community exhibition sharing the creative expression of brain injury survivors.

This is a collaboration between Brain Injury Alliance and Kalaveshi Arts.

"On behalf of the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut, thank you so much for being here tonight. We’re deeply grateful to the artists, families, and community members who make this event so special. We would like to extend a special thank you to Kalaveshi Arts—Drita, Njomza, and Saranda—and Rebecca Maloney for all their hard work and for “confidently embracing” this project.

As many of you know, art has an extraordinary ability not just to heal, but to reveal. For those living with brain injury, creativity is not only a lifeline… it’s a way to tell the story a transformational journey that words can barely touch.

These works aren’t only about personal transformation, but they also have the power to change how we as a community see, understand, and support one another.

BIAC exists to support individuals with brain injury and those who care about them through education, advocacy, and connection. Events like this help raise visibility and remind us of what the path towards recovery can look like when we lead with compassion and creativity.

Please take your time exploring and appreciating these incredible pieces. What we are experiencing at this exhibit goes beyond art…they are stories of strength, healing, and hope. And remember…when you purchase a piece of artwork tonight, you are not only making an investment, but you are also investing in hope."
