Acrylic Painting Workshop: Flowers | Oct 4, 2025

When: Saturday, Oct 4 from 12 - 3PM
This class is for beginners as well as more experienced painters who want to explore their love of flowers. Encouraging self expression in any style from realism to abstraction, specific instruction will focus on composition, painting techniques, and color. Our inspiration will be a bouquet of real flowers. We’ll notice the various flower shapes, colors and textures. Exploring our thoughts and sharing ideas the class will gain creative insight into the many ways of interpreting flowers in paint.
List of supplies:
-1 Canvas: Size - 16x20 minimum
-Beginner's Kit of acrylic tube paints or single tubes of the following colors:
1. Titanium white,
2. Ultramarine blue,
3. Dioxazine purple,
4. Medium red,
5. Light yellow,
6. Rose color,
7. Chrome oxide green,
-Brushes: natural bristle for acrylic and oil painting (no soft brushes)
Suggested sizes: Size 10 - 1/2 inch flat; Size 4 - curved end filbert; Size 2 - round
-Paper palette pad or several plastic coated dinner plates
- White plastic painting knife
- Jar for water
- Spray bottle for water
- Paper towels
NOTE: For an additional $15, payable on the day of the workshop, we can provide the supplies for you. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to provide supplies by emailing kalaveshiarts@gmail.com after booking your workshop. If we do not receive an email, we will assume you are bringing your own supplies.
