This is the first out of three pieces of the Quarantine Desert Series. I had to leave Manhattan and move to Rio Rancho, New Mexico due to the pandemic. I've experienced a lot of changes - I've had an opportunity to reflect on my life and get to know myself better as a result. It required patience and, most importantly, acceptance. The New Mexico desert is simply beautiful and inspiring, and my journey here has been challenging but just as inspiring. In this painting, I'm showing my solitude and willingness to adapt to my new reality.
