I've been spending my time in Rio Rancho, New Mexico during the pandemic, and the view of the landscape in front of my house inspires me every day. The mountain takes on very vibrant colors, depending on where the sun is and how cloudy it is; it never looks the same at any point during the day, which is what makes it one of the most beautiful mountains I've ever witnessed. I chose to pour acrylic to achieve the exciting combination of colors that naturally occur on the Sandias, dramatizing them even further. I hope that it will bring joy and a sense of peace to the viewer.
